In the first half of its 2013/2014 (31 March) financial year, the Accsys Technologies achieved year-on-year growth in turnover of 74% to €15.8m. The improvement was primarily attributable to significantly higher sales and higher prices for the chemically modified Accoya wood manufactured by the company; turnover with Accoya was up year on year by 80% to €13.9m. Roughly €1.4m of that improvement were accounted for by deliveries of Accoya to Medite Europe, which on the basis of that wood produces MDF for exterior applications under the name Tricoya MDF. No deliveries had been made to Medite during the same period of the previous financial year. Sales of Accoya to other buyers during the reporting period increased by 62% to €124m.
