It is reported that Taiwan's rebar mills have faced the highly pressure in domestic market operation in the fourth quarter. It' learned that there are three major ambient pressures for the Taiwanese rebar mills. Firstly, the decreasing demand from Taiwan's local construction projects and government's released popular construction orders. Secondly, the blooming raising global scrap price during winter time, since this October to now, the offer price for the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) have already rose about US$30/ton, the price for bulk scrap has increased further. Thirdly, China's rebar source may be able to import into Taiwan soon, the low price Chinese rebar price may cause Taiwan's domestic rebar market to face the highly price competition in the coming future.
