The US flooring group Mohawk Industries Inc. delivered a significant growth in revenues and earnings from all divisions during the third quarter of 2013. The company's Laminate & Wood and Ceramic divisions reaped the rewards of acquisitions carried out in the year to date. The Laminate & Wood division, which includes wood-based panels, laminate flooring and parquet activities pooled in the Unilin group, posted a 37 % leap in third-quarter turnover to US$450.7m. Mohawk said that the improvement in revenues was in large part due to its purchase of Pergo's laminate flooring activities and Spano Invest and due to growth across all product groups and distribution methods in North America. Turnover rose 33 % when adjusted for exchange rate effects.
