According to data released by Japan's Ministry of Finance, Japan's output of stainless steel products totaled 231,995 tons in May, up slightly by 0.7% from a month ago. Among them, 110,040 tons were chrome-based stainless steel products, rising by 3.8%; 121,955 tons were nickel-based stainless steel products, down by 1.9%, both compared to the figures in a month ago. Meanwhile, the country's output of other specialty steel products totaled 7,255 tons, down by 0.6% month on month.
