According to data of the national foreign trade ministry (MDIC), Brazil's exports of stainless steel flat products totaled 32,745 tons in May, rising by 7.95% from a month ago but slumping by 34.8% year on year. In May, Argentina and Colombia were the largest importers of the Brazilian steel flat products. In the first five months of this year, the country's exports of stainless steel flats totaled 147,018 tons, jumping by 23.68% year on year.
