It's reported that the transaction prices of carbon steel finished steel wires have remained stable in the Taiwanese market recently. However, the demand is still weak. Industry sources said that the transaction prices of carbon steel finished steel wires might not rise in the Taiwanese market in the short term due to weak performance of the screw makers and decreased prices offered by the Chinese steelmakers. At present, the transaction prices of China Steel Corp. (CSC)'s Al-killed finished steel wires are at NT$24,500/ton.
