US based packaging machinery company Pro Mach has acquired NJM Packaging to expand its pharmaceutical packaging capabilities.
Established in 1915, NJM Packaging is engaged in providing pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and personal care packaging machinery. It also provides automated packaging and labeling solutions for multiple industries.
Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Pro Mach, a packaging and processing machinery manufacturer, expects the acquisition to expand its footprint in the growing pharmaceutical and contract packaging markets while advancing its capabilities as an integrated solutions provider.
Pro Mach president and CEO Mark Anderson said: "We anticipate continued strong growth in the pharmaceutical packaging machinery market and NJM is a well-established and highly respected brand that has been manufacturing proven solutions and providing experienced, high value customer support for over a century.
"NJM complements our strengths as an integrated solutions provider and helps us fill in gaps in our pharmaceutical product portfolio. We will invest in NJM so they can continue providing industry leading solutions and support to their customers."
In February 2016, Pro Mach has acquired Stork-Texwrap, a manufacturer of fully automatic shrink wrapping systems for food, bakery, industrial, pharmaceutical, and printing industries across the world.
Texwrap's product portfolio includes a complete range of shrink wrappers, L-bar sealers, side sealers, tunnels, infeed solutions, and conveyors.
