Scottish Brewery Brewdog Selects Beatson Clark's Bottles for Limited-Edition Beers

UK based glass packaging manufacturer Beatson Clark has been selected by Scottish brewery BrewDog to provide bespoke bottles for a new range of limited-edition beers.

The brewery uses the 375ml champagne-style amber beer bottle from Beatson for its Abstrakt range.

The Abstrakt range is described as 'boundary pushing beers' by the brewery.

Beatson Clark business development manager Chris Palmer said: “We’ve worked with BrewDog for several years so we’re pleased that they have come back to us for this special design.

“Our in-house design service is second to none and something which customers really appreciate.

“We are also able to manufacture bespoke bottles at small volumes, which almost certainly helped us to win the contract in this case.”

The brewery releases only a very small number of limited edition batches of Abstrakt per year. Each of the batch is known only by its release code.

Featuring BrewDog logo embossed on the shoulder, the new bottle complements the the brewery’s 660ml Vichy beer bottle, which is also supplied by Beatson Clark.

In September, Beatson Clark said it has installed a new twin palletiser at its amber glass lines to boost production and flexibility.

The company has invested £720,000 in a new Zecchetti conveyor line and palletiser, which are designed for both bulk and small pack operations.

Beatson Clark offers glass packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical, food and drink markets.
