Materials Performance (MP) magazine, a publication of NACE International, is now accepting nominations for its 2014 Corrosion Innovation of the Year Awards. The deadline for nominations is October 18, 2013.
Honoring the most important innovations impacting corrosion control today, the awards showcase progressive technological developments in all aspects of corrosion prevention and mitigation and recognize the innovators who have created revolutionary solutions to combat corrosion and protect vital assets from its damaging effects. Innovations should go beyond marginal improvements to current products, services, methods, and techniques.
Each innovation will be rated by a panel of leading corrosion experts using a numerical scoring system. The highest-rated innovations will receive the awards on Monday, March 10, 2014 at the world's largest corrosion conference and expo, NACE International's CORROSION 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. The top innovations also will be featured in MP.
Award entries will be accepted from individuals, companies, organizations, and government agencies worldwide. The innovations nominated should represent technologies that have resulted in significant improvements to current products, services, methods, and techniques such as groundbreaking advances in coatings and linings, cathodic protection, materials selection and design, instrumentation, testing, integrity assessment, chemical treatments, and other practices directly related to corrosion prevention and mitigation in all industries.
Award nominees will be posted on the NACE International Web site as they are received and vetted.
