German packaging machinery manufacturer Rovema has installed its BVC260 Stabilo packaging machine for Leicester-based Universal Flexible Packaging.
Designed to provide improved flexibility, the BVC260 Stabilo packaging machine is expected to complement the existing machine which was installed 16 years ago into the Universal Flexible Packaging plant.
Universal Flexible Packaging managing director Tinku Durrani said: "We are delighted to be taking delivery of our 20th Rovema flexible packaging machine, a clear signal of how pleased we are with the wide range of bag styles we are able to produce with this equipment.
"We have forecast continued growth and expansion in 2016 and in the area of flexible film packaging we are also able to provide a stock and serve offer to our customers."
The Rovema machines are designed for packaging confectionery, dry goods, spices, baked goods, pulses and frozen foods.
Rovema UK managing director Graham Hughes said: "We have had an excellent relationship with Universal Flexible Packaging since its incorporation 21 years ago and are delighted to be working with Savoury & Sweet now too."
Universal Flexible Packaging is involved in the production of printed laminate film, flexible film, printed bags and contract packing.
