Menasha Packaging Company, which specialises in graphic packaging and product merchandising solutions, is investing about $5m to expand its Hartford facility.
This expansion will help the company create about 70 jobs. The Neenah-based packaging company is a subsidiary of the Menasha Corporation.
As a part of the expansion, the company will purchase machinery and equipments and also add a third shift which will help in increasing production to meet increasing demand for its products.
Menasha Corp president and CEO Jim Kotek said: "We are proud of our 165-year Wisconsin heritage and the strong work ethic of our Wisconsin employees that has allowed us to provide outstanding service to our customers and remain competitive in our markets.
"We continue to grow with our customers and we will invest in facilities, equipment and in jobs where we have strong employee knowledge and commitment."
The company will get assistance from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) with tax credits of around $502,000 for the next three years. However, the actual amount will depend on the number of jobs the company is able to create during that time.
WEDC secretary and CEO Reed Hall said: "WEDC is pleased to work with Menasha Packaging to help the company expand its operations and create more jobs for the region and the state. In the last year, our Economic Development Tax Credits have helped more than 60 companies create and retain about 12,000 jobs -- and it is gratifying to see another company utilize this program to help grow Wisconsin's economy."
Employing more than 2,400 people across its 30-plus facilities across the nation, Menasha Packaging provides packaging solutions to industries like consumer packaged goods, retail, food and over-the-counter pharmaceutical markets.
