Bosch Packaging Technology has finalized its previously announced acquisition of France-based Tecsor Machines’ assets for an undisclosed sum.
Bosch Packaging Technology division president Friedbert Klefenz said the acquisition will allow the company to further add to its activities in the area of liquid foods.
"The new machinery we offer will save our customers materials, energy, and costs. For its part, Bosch Packaging Technology will improve its chances in the market," Klefenz added.
Bosch noted that it can round out its existing portfolio of products in this area following the acquisition of Tecsor, to include its own cups and bottles production.
With immediate effect, the business activities of the French company have been assigned to Bosch Packaging Technology's Liquid Food business unit.
The company, which will remain an independent unit, will be operated as a Bosch subsidiary and its products will be marketed under the Bosch name going forward, Bosch said.
Tecsor develops and sells machinery for manufacturing and filling PET containers for liquid and paste-like foodstuffs.
