The Chilean wood-based panels producer Maderas y Sinteticos (Masisa) has reached a deal with the Mexican firm Grupo Kuo to acquire the assets of the particleboard and laminate manufacturer Rexcel. As the Particleboard strategic business unit, Rexcel is part of Kuo's Consumer division and is led by Roger Patrón González. The transaction is to include Rexcel's two particleboard mills in Zitácuaro and Chihuahua, a laminates, worktop and resin production facility at Rexcel's headquarters in Lerma as well as product brands that Rexcel uses in Mexico, such as Rexcel, Resipan, Resifoil, Panelart and Wilsonart.
