Mosca Direct, a strapping systems supplier, has introduced two new machines into the UK market, which can be used in seafood applications.
The new German manufactured side-seal strappers SoniXs MS-VA and SoniXs TRS-VA can be used in fish, meat and poultry processing and packing applications.
Said to work with Mosca's own ultrasonic technology, the machines feature new exposed Standard-6 strap path, which is made by using corrosion-resistant material.
Due to the presence of sealing unit on the side of the strap guide frame, process liquids or other foreign particles flow away without soiling it making the machines suitable for food processing industries such as fish and meat.
The SoniXs MS-VA is a manual machine, while the SoniXs TRS-VA can be operated on a fully automated production line, where packages can be automatically fed.
Depending on product and in-feed system, the machines can produce sizes at up to 33 cycles per minute.
Mosca Direct product management head Adrian Ritzhaupt said the firm is able to meet customer demands with the new machines.
"Due to their varied functionality, side-seal strappers have long been successful in diverse industries. Our customers can now also draw on our patented ultrasonic technology, 'SoniXs' in these machines," Ritzhaupt added.
