Sherpa Clinical Packaging has completed a new 37,500 ft2 clinical packaging and distribution facility in San Diego, US.
Featuring cold chain management infrastructure, the new facility provides purpose built space for primary and secondary clinical labeling and packaging.
The facility also offers GMP storage for refrigerated (2-8oC), frozen (-20oC, -80oC and LN2), and controlled room temperature (20-25oC), and temperature controlled shipping dispatch.
In addition, the facility features an ISO 8 clean room for primary packaging of solid dose products.
With the new centre, the firm is also providing cold form and thermoform blistering, blister strip carding, pouching and API storage services.
According to the company, the expansion will support its increased demand for Phase II and Phase III clinical studies.
