In response to increasing price of the fuel and electricity,Taiwan's ministry of economics affairs(MOEA)estimates that over 326 thousands of LED street light will replace the old HID lamps,with an accumulated production value to be 4.5 billion NT dollars.Therefore,more than 250 LED makers with nearly 800 booths will gather at the 8th annual LED Lighting Taiwan to demonstrate LED related test equipment,materials,components and lighting fixtures.Top LED makers such as Nichia,Cree,Osram,Everlight,Seoul Semiconductor,LiteOn,Delta Electric,Edison Opto,Kingbright Electronic,Epistar,Formosa Epitaxy,Tekcore,and Neo Neon will show up in the"International Brands"zone.

SOLAR Taiwan touting green energy

In the Solar Taiwan 2012 exhibition,PIDA echoes the"Million Rooftop PVs"concept from Bureau of Energy,MOEA and invites Tainan city government,Kaohsiung city government,Pingtung county government,Yunlin county government to demonstrate their achievements in PV system installations.Taiwan is now the world's second largest solar cell production base,and has the comprehensive supply chain from materials,wafer,solar cells,modules,system.As for advanced PV technologies and applications,there will be exhibitors showcasing their development in dye sensitized solar cells.
