Hot-Rolled Steel Products From 6 Countries Would Lead to Continuation of Material Injury

Tags: AD, steel, China

The US International Trade Commission said Tuesday that revoking antidumping and countervailing duty orders on hot-rolled steel products from six countries likely would lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury.

The ruling in the full five-year sunset review of hot-rolled coil from China, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand and Ukraine will keep existing duties in place.

Three commissioners voted affirmatively with respect to all six countries, while two voted in the affirmative for China, India, Taiwan, Thailand and Ukraine, but negative with respect to Indonesia. One commissioner did not make a determination.

These import duties for hot-rolled coil have been in place since 2001.
