UK-based Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury has expanded its flexible packaging product portfolio with the launch of new stand up pouches.
The range includes retortable, microwaveable and non-retortable stand up pouch packaging.
Being manufactured at the company’s sister site in Grootegast in the Netherlands, the pouches are available in different shapes and sizes and are designed for many sectors including food and beverage, dairy, home and personal care.
The pouches have innovative features such as laser perforation for easy opening; mechanical reclose, such as Velcro zippers; handlegrips for easy handling and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) technology for extended product shelf life.
Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Flexibles group sales manager Chris Button said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer stand up pouches to our UK customer base.
“More and more brands are turning to flexible packaging solutions such as stand up pouches which offer sustainable, user friendly solutions as well as food protection and extended shelf life.
“We’re seeing growing demand for our retort pouches and pouches that feature modified atmosphere packaging technology (MAP), both of which offer extended product shelf life.”
The stand up pouches are designed to offer a lightweight, convenient, durable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional packaging such as glass jars and aluminium cans, the company said.
Additionally, the pouches are designed to provide better food preservation properties and extended shelf-life while supporting reduced food waste.
Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury offers flexible packaging solutions including pre-cut lid and shrink sleeve packaging solutions for customers in the food, dairy, beverage, personal care and household sectors.
