MPS Systems North America and Green Bay Packaging have inaugurated a new demo and applications technology center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, US.
Located on Green Bay Packaging campus, the new center provides local press manufacturing, technical consultancy, sales and marketing services to the customers.
At the center, MPS will exhibit its 10 color 17in EF multi-substrate flexo press, which is installed with UV/LED and hot air dryers. It will also provide multiple converting options for the customers.
Green Bay Packaging’s coated products operations manufacture pressure-sensitive paper and films, which can be used in various labeling applications such as primary package decoration and variable information.
MPS manufactures, markets and services advanced printing and converting machines for the pressure-sensitive and packaging printing markets.
PS Systems North America provides local service offerings, which include spare parts programs and US-based technical assistance.
MPS Systems North America vice president Kees Nijenhuis said: “In our new Technology Center we are going to show our potential customers something special, that is why we have decided to install a 10 color 17 inch wide EF press with all the bells and whistles.
“The EF is our automated multi substrate press and future proof press platform. In our Technology Center we are going to show our potential customers what is possible when we push the limits when it comes to productivity, flexo print quality and flexible converting.”
Green Bay Packaging senior vice president Marty Olson said: “Having a state-of-the-art flexographic press available for print testing will be a tremendous addition to our product development efforts.”
