Schoeller Allibert Has Added a New Dual Height Half Tray to Its Maxinest Range

Plastic reusable transit packaging (RTP) provider Schoeller Allibert has added a new Dual Height Half Tray to its Maxinest range, which will be used for food and grocery distribution.

With its dual-height option and 400 x 300mm footprint, the new tray can be used in different applications.

Schoeller Allibert has designed the new tray to nest by 70% of its original height. It allows small and large store formats to be handled within the same supply chain.

According to the company, the tray is compatible with the latest washing technology.

The trays feature smooth surfaces, which will avoid tearing packaging, and ventilated sides enable air to flow freely for a constant temperature to maintain freshness.

In addition, the trays can be used in temperatures down to -30o making it ideal for frozen as well as fresh produce, and RFID or labelling can be added to clearly identify the contents, destination and owner.

Weighing about 0.9kg per unit, the tray can be stacked eleven high to offer a 100kg base tray load with a capacity of 15l at full height and 10l at intermediate height.

Schoeller Allibert UK and Ireland regional sales director Simon Knights said the tray's two stacked height options make it an ideal solution for the field-to-store supply chain.

"The choice of heights offered by the new Maxinest offers multiple benefits for the food and grocery supply chain," Knights added.
