Seattle-based Windows, Doors & More announced its co-founder Ken Hall will transition ownership of the business to new owner/operator Rick Locke. The company will mark its 20th year in 2013 and Hall felt the timing was right to take this strategic step which will take effect immediately. He will remain with the company in an advisory role during the transition and will continue in a sales capacity for the foreseeable future.
"Windows, Doors & More has served customers for many years and I value the relationships that Ken and those before me have developed," says Locke, owner and president of Windows, Doors & More. "My focus will be to strengthen these relationships as we move forward."
As the new owner, Locke brings extensive window and glass industry knowledge as well as business management experience. He started his career in 1975 working in manufacturing for Central Glass and as a glazier with Perfection Glass, both in the Tri-Cities, Wash. After graduating from Washington State University, Locke joined Milgard Manufacturing in 1981 as a branch manager of their Boise, Idaho, location. He later held sales and marketing roles with the company at their Tacoma headquarters. Locke has also held sales, marketing and management roles with a number of companies including Northwestern Industries, Viracon, Sage Electrochromics and DeaMor Associates. Additionally, he co-founded RGA Architectural Sales.
Locke has been active in industry associations including Master Builders Association, Construction Specifications Institute, and the Washington Glass Association where he was an officer from 1990 to 1996 and served terms as president and past president from 1991 through 1993.
"Throughout the transition and beyond, our primary goal is to continue providing customers with products from quality manufacturers in addition to both pre-sales and post-sales service and support," says Locke.
