Spain-based packaging machinery solutions provider Comexi Group has opened the Comexi Group Research Center, dedicated to the research and development of new products.
The new center will be dedicated to the company's own preliminary prototypes testing and validation tasks such as software, mechanisms, and also to different works on equipments and solutions to be incorporated into its products.
According to the company, the 550m2 permanent space private area will maintain confidentiality of its own developments as well as of the partners involved in them.
The new research centre houses a flexographic printing system, a multi-trolley laminator as well as a slitting and rewinding machine.
To control the solvent retention, the center will have a gas chromatograph, and a digital dynamometer to control the bond strength.
The center is said to earmark a research area for all the company's product lines: Comexi Flexo, Comexi Acom, Comexi Offset, Comexi Nexus, Comexi Proslit and Comexi Enviroxi.
