Atlanta Dwm Has Selected Networkfleet, a Provider of Wireless Fleet Management Services

The City of Atlanta's Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has selected Networkfleet, a provider of wireless fleet management services, to increase the efficient use of DWM service vehicles.

Under the deal, the Networkfleet GPS fleet tracking system will assist the DWM in improving driver productivity, reducing operating costs, and enhancing safety and security.

The Networkfleet GPS fleet tracking system will be installed on 529 fleet vehicles, including those used in customer service, operations, and heavy-duty service and maintenance trucks.

Department of Watershed Management director of communications Janet Ward said they chose Networkfleet over others because it is a GSA provider that completely satisfied the requirements of its business needs.

"We also received excellent feedback from other Networkfleet government customers, who assured us that the system would help us effectively manage our fleet," Ward said.

Networkfleet president and CEO Keith Schneider said with shrinking government budgets, the public sector is looking to create a new fleet management paradigm, to totally transform their operations.

"Networkfleet has assisted in such a transformation for many government entities, and looks forward to helping Atlanta do the same," Schneider said.
