Smurfit Kappa is set to exhibit its complete Bag-in-Box packaging solutions at this year’s Pack expo event in Las Vegas, US.
The event will take place from 25 to 27 September at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
Pack expo Las Vegas allows more than 2000 exhibitors to showcase their products and solutions across 40 industry sectors.
At the event, Smurfit Kappa will exhibit its advanced packaging solutions, including Bag-in-Box, Pouch-Up, Vitop tap and filling machines.
The packaging solutions can be used by the food and beverage industry, as well as non-food industries such as automotive, agrochemical and pharmaceutical.
Bag-in-Box is a packging solution, which allows to extend the shelf life of liquid or semi-liquid food products. It can also be used as a packaging solution for industrial products.
The outer box, which is made by using corrugated cardboard or solid board, offers protection during transit.
Smurfit has designed each bag to preserve the exact liquid inside, helping to avoid the content by the outside air.
Liquids can be distributed through various taps to prevent air from entering the packaging during dispensing.
According to Smurfit Kappa, it’s packaging solutions offer multiple advantages in terms of shelf life, cost, sustainability and consumer convenience.
Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box Canada managing director Christophe de Carbonnières said: “North America is a very dynamic and innovative market so we are very much looking forward to attending Pack expo.
“The Bag-in-Box products for the liquid and semi-liquid industries have rapidly evolved during the last years; we have developed products for the water and motor oil industries for example.”
