Global fiber-based materials company Ahlstrom has announced the addition of Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond (SMS) technology to its interleaved Sterile Barrier Systems (SBS) offering, Ahlstrom Reliance Tandem.
The latest launch will enable the company to better meet customers' needs and provide SBS solutions.
Ahlstrom offers a complete interleaved portfolio with the introduction of SMS into its Ahlstrom Reliance portfolio to help its customers stay ahead.
The portfolio uses SMS technology in combination with its existing technologies to provide the combination of sterile barrier system sheets for sequential wrapping.
As part of the Ahlstrom Reliance Tandem or interleaving concept, two layers of SBS sheets are combined, each of which offer specialized performance for sequential wrapping.
Together, both the layers are used together to offer flexibility in terms of performance, technology and cost for different applications.
