Klockner Pentaplast (KP) has launched the next generation blister design service, Pentapharm BlisterPro for pharmaceutical packaging industry.
The new Pentapharm BlisterPro will integrate BlisterPro finite element analysis simulations with tool design, fabrication, and package production to accelerate the package development cycle.
Functions of the BlisterPro are supported by a new blister packaging machine and an in-house computer numerical control (CNC) machine that allows rapid prototype package sample production.
KP group pharmaceutical films vice president Charles Baechler said that the new BlisterPro has been developed to meet customers' requirements for improved technical support.
"Along with our existing technical capabilities and support team, this upgraded service demonstrates our commitment to the industry by providing the very best in original and creative technical solutions," Baechler said.
With the help of KP's new Pentapharm BlisterPro, package designers, technicians and engineers can explore the effects of tool geometry, film types, and process conditions.
Without running expensive and time consuming line trials, they can also predict the protective barrier properties of the final package.
Additionally, the company has expanded capabilities of Blister Technology Center to add new design and optimization services for the pharmaceutical packaging industry.
