Mexican Clearance Is Granted by Neurologica Portable Ceretom Scanner

Mexican Ministry of Health's Comisión Federal para la Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios, (COFEPRIS) has cleared NeuroLogica's 8-slice small bore portable multi-slice CT scanner, CereTom.

Designed for performing head and neck scans, CereTom delivers non-contrast, angiography, and contrast perfusion scans in a variety of patient locations.

The company said the battery powered CereTom provides real time CT images wherever needed, including the clinic, ICU, OR and emergency/trauma department.

CereTom, which is DICOM 3.1 compliant and compatible with all PACS, surgical navigation, electronic medical records, and planning systems, can be easily transported from room to room, similar to portable chest X-ray systems.

NeuroLogica CEO Eric Bailey said, "The certification signifies that we have met the rigorous clinical, safety, quality, and performance standards set forth by COFEPRIS and demonstrates the commitment we have to our future customers."
