Hertz is giving people around the world another reason to travel to Europe with a fresh list of performance models added to its premium rental car range.
Offering customers “the driving experience of a lifetime”, Hertz Supercars has updated its European line-up in the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Spain with new models from brands such as Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche and BMW.
The 460kW/600Nm McLaren MP4-12C Spider is now available in the UK from £1,077 a day (with no waiver available for its £5000 excess) and in Germany from €1500 a day.
The 544kW/690Nm Ferrari F12 Berlinetta has been added to the rental car company’s French fleet, though a price is yet to be attached to the 6.3-litre V12-powered Italian stallion.
The Netherlands has gained the Porsche Cayman (€288) and Cayenne (€480), while Spain has received the BMW X6 xDrive 35d and the Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE – also both yet to be listed.
Hertz International group president Michel Taride said he was delighted to introduce the new high-end models to Europe and give customers worldwide the chance to “enjoy a taste of the high life”.
“At Hertz we are determined to offer our Supercar customers a first class experience – whether they are car enthusiasts, wanting to land an important business deal, celebrating a special occasion, or simply desiring an unforgettable thrill,” Taride said.
Additional models available for rent in the UK include the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante Edizione Tecnica (£796 a day), with Germany having the Aston Martin Vanquish (€1960), Ferrari 458 Italia (€1350) and hardtop Lamborghini Gallardo (€1050) on offer.
Hertz France has the Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder (€1634) and the Aston Martin Virage Volante (€1444), while the Netherlands’ spread includes the Porsche 911 (€382), Panamera (€479) and Boxster (€288) along with the Bentley Continental GT (€576) and the Jaguar F-Type (€288).
Models such as the Audi R8, Ferrari California, Maserati Quattroporte and Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG also make lists across Europe.
Hertz says on their website that while benefits of rentals may include multi-driver policies and inclusive insurance and vehicle delivery, it also states that customers must be aged 25 and over with a valid driving licence.
Locally, the best performance cars offered by Hertz are the 210kW/350Nm Holden Commodore SV6 and, under its new ‘Adrenaline Collection’, the 147kW/205Nm Toyota 86.
The latest expansion into aspirational models isn’t a first for Hertz, the company announcing a ‘Dream Car’ program for the US in July and the fixed-roof MP4-12C’s UK addition in April last year.
