Germany-based Koenig & Bauer (KBA) has supplied two more Rapida 106 series presses to Stora Enso Inpac, located in Guangdong province, China.
KBA supplied first two presses of the series to Stora Enso in 2012, which include a seven-color press with coater and UV capabilities and a five-color machine with coater for conventional inks and coatings.
The third and fourth KBA Rapida 106s, supplied by KBA from its facility in Radebeul, are expected to commence operations in early autumn.
The two six-color presses are said to be configured identically and feature board-handling kits, automatic plate changing, ink-temperature control and combined CleanTronic washing units.
In addition, the presses, which have a maximum output of 18,000sph, are installed with VariDry IR/TA dryers, ErgoTronic console with wallscreen and LogoTronic CIPLink X for transfer of preset data.
According to KBA, Hebei Inpac Group CEO and Stora Enso Inpac co-partner Guo Cai visited KBA in Radebeul in April to check out the latest developments in sheetfed offset and said that he is content with his two existing Rapida 106 presses.
