MW Luxury Packaging has provided new packaging for Diageo’s special release single malt whiskies.
The packaging firm has been continuously manufacturing packs for Diageo’s special releases from the last five years.
For this year, ten whiskies have been selected, of which eight were offered to MW for the production of new packaging.
MW’s eight-pack collection included 52-year-old Port Dundas, which was packaged in a pale aqua blue box
The box features a gold foil monogram, hand-placed labels and vacuum formed bottle fitment with an Eva.
MW has provided the pack with a soft and inky finish for the 17-year-old Teaninich. The pack has been wrapped in white core paper printed with multiple hits of black.
To appear in the dark, the copper foiling was provided on the top and photo-luminescent UV inks used in the logo and other areas.
MW has also provided packaging for the Collectivum XXVIII, which is a blend of single malts collected from Diageo’s 28 operational distilleries.
Collectivum XXVIII has been packed in a midnight blue shoe box, which features gold foil Roman numerals that correspond to the names of the distilleries on the inside of the lid.
MW has designed traditional shoe box for Port Ellen and Brora whiskies. The box features inner fitments lined with velvet, while subtle embellishments have been integrated as spot UV branding for Port Ellen and pin-line embossed paper for Brora.
The packaging firm has also provided innovative embellishments for three other packs of Blair Athol 1993, Convalmore 1984 and Glen Elgin 1998
