Xicato Announces Changes in Management Team

Xicato, a leading manufacturer of intelligent light sources, has seen continued growth of over 35% annually, which has led to the expansion of its management team and increase of leadership in North America. The company is pleased to announce the promotion of several people on its leadership team: Willem Sillevis Smitt to Vice President of Sales and Marketing Worldwide, Peter Tseng to Vice President of Engineering, and Mike Peanasky to Vice President of Manufacturing.

These changes better position the organization to efficiently streamline its processes as it continues to grow and focus on expanding its range of intelligent LED modules. “We are dedicated to the continued development of our employees, and these individuals have excelled and demonstrated their ability to effectively lead the team. I am proud that we have the right leadership in place to continue to grow the business while providing higher service levels,” said Menko de Roos, CEO of Xicato.

Willem Sillevis Smitt joined Xicato in May 2015 as Vice President of Marketing and has led the charge in defining Xicato’s stance on the IES TM-30-15 color rendering metric and helped drive the product expansion of XIM and launch of Beauty Series.

Pete Tseng joined Xicato in November 2007 and was instrumental in designing Xicato’s first LED platform, the Xicato Spot Module (XSM). Since then, he has been a critical contributor leading groups in the development, testing and manufacturing of numerous platforms in the Xicato product line.

Mike Peanasky joined Xicato in 2011 and assisted in the growth of the business as it scaled into high volume production. Mike was involved in the manufacturing of Xicato’s new groundbreaking XIM and XTM platforms and is responsible for the large-scale transition of manufacturing to the Philippines.
