German adhesives supplier Jowat is all set to introduce its new adhesive developments for the labeling and carton closing industries at the Drinktec 2013 in Munich.
The company will exhibit its Jowat-Toptherm for labeling of beverage packages. They have initial strength values, even at low adhesive application amounts and a bond-line that tolerates the impact of torsional forces on the packages.
According to the company, the Jowat-Toptherm products are suitable for bonding paper labels with very low grammage specifically.
The members of the Jowat-Toptherm family are said to meet the regulations and recommendations for food contact according to the EC directive 10/2011 and FDA guideline 175.105, in addition to the recommendations XXV and XXXVI of the BFR.
The polyolefin-based hot melt adhesives of the Jowat-Toptherm product range exhibit better performance results for the bonding of secondary packaging cartons even in the case when carton blanks are joined under low pressure.
Jowat-Toptherm products are claimed to be suitable for both hot filling of up to 70°C and deep freezing as low as -20°C.
The products of this family meet the regulations and recommendations for food contact of the EC 10/2011 and FDA guideline 175.105.
