Paper and packaging company International Paper (IP) has announced the availability of the company’s color laser paper Pro-Design range with carbon capture initiative introduced by paper merchant group Premier Paper.
The range produced at the company's Saillat Mill in France already carries the EU-Ecolabel, and the latest initiative is another significant addition to its environmental criteria.
According to IP, the initiative allows the company's customers to capture the CO2 emissions from its Pro-Design paper purchases made through Premier Paper by planting native woodland in the UK, through The Woodland Trust and The Woodland Carbon Scheme.
By ordering papers from the range, customers can choose to capture the carbon used in the manufacture and distribution processes of the paper.
IP UK country manager Mike Robertson said Premier Paper is offering its Pro Design range as part of its carbon capture initiative.
"This added to the recent FSC Certification really demonstrates the environmental credentials of Pro Design," Robertson said.
