Mexico Has Bought The Flagship Model of The Xeikon 3000 Series of Digital Label Presses

Mexican label converter Impresion y Diseño de Mexico has bought a Xeikon 3500, the flagship model of the Xeikon 3000 Series of digital label presses, in a bid to expand and further improve its digital label production capabilities.

The Xeikon 3500 runs at a maximum speed of 19.2m/min at five colors, and at a maximum width of 516mm on Xeikon's QA-I toner, approved for indirect and direct contact with dry food. It can produce up to 570m² per hour in four or five-color printing on a wide range of substrates.

Impresion y Diseño de Mexico president and owner Angel Calderon said the company already operates two digital presses and hopes that the Xeikon 3500 will provide new benefits to its business.

"This investment will enable Impression y Diseño de Mexico to expand our offering to our customers and to grow our business further," Calderon added.

Equipped with the Xeikon 3500 high-precision LED-based imaging head, the new press is ideal for the production of self-adhesive labels and features 1200 dpi resolution and 1200 x 3600 dpi addressability with variable dot density.

The Xeikon 3500 is equipped with five color stations, four for the standard process colors, while the fifth station allows the use of spot colors or 'one-pass' opaque white to create a 'no-label look' on transparent labels.
