Comexi Installs a Flexographic Press and a Laminating Machine at Harden Packaging's Plant

Spain-based flexible packaging company Comexi Group will install a flexographic press and a laminating machine at Harden Packaging’s plant in Melbourne, Australia.

Comexi will install the Comexi Flexo F4 press and the Comexi Nexus SL2 laminating machine under an agreement signed by the two companies.

The Comexi Flexo F4 has been designed to provide the products in short runs. It is available in widths of 670mm and 870mm and has print repeats of up to 600mm. The 8-color machine is capable of printing on different surfaces such as plastic film, paper and laminates.

Comexi's laminating machine is designed to work with solventless adhesives. The new model is an improvement of the Comexi Nexus Evo, a laminating machine capable of working at a maximum speed of 450m/min with an available width of 1330mm to 1530mm.

The machine's laminating unit is made up of three rollers and is fully motorized for transparent lamination without air bubbles.

Harden Packaging CEO Harry Young said: "We decided to purchase Comexi again after having such a good experience with our Flexo FW1508.

"In seven plus years we have only had very minimal down time due to machine faults."
