Spanish firm SAICA has acquired Stirling Fibre Group, the UK-based independent provider of waste management solutions.
The acquisition is expected to boost expansion of SAICA's Natur business in the UK.
The latest acquisition is a part of SAICA's strategy to become an integrated player in the UK. The company has acquired Cutts Recycling in July 2011 and Futur Ltd in October 2010.
This acquisition will help SAICA Natur UK to manage about 400,000t of waste paper and packaging paper products by providing Partington Recycled Paper Mill which will start production next year.
With the production at SAICA Paper's recycled paper mill in Partington, the company will be able to provide high-performance paper and packaging.
With the acquisition the combined SAICA Natur UK turnover is estimated to be approximately £70m in 2011.
