The Computer Weekly European User Awards honours IT professionals across Europe that have excelled in their approach to using technology, focusing on the key areas of networking and mobile; storage; security; datacentre and virtualisation; and business software.
A panel of independent judges will review entries in the following categories.
Best technology innovation
Recognises a European organisation that has used new technology or a new IT product to deliver exceptional innovation in their business or processes.
Supplier of the year
Recognises a European IT supplier that has demonstrated exceptional quality in its products and services for customers, as shown by its involvement in one or more named customer projects.
Private sector project
Recognises a European private sector organisation that has used new or innovative ways to deliver measurable business benefits through the implementation of IT. The winning project will demonstrate more than simply successful use of a new product, but instead show how IT has supported or enabled significant change and improvement for the business.
Public sector project
Recognises a European public sector organisation that has used new or innovative ways to deliver measurable benefits in public services through the implementation of IT. The winning project will demonstrate more than simply successful use of a new product, but instead show how IT has supported or enabled significant change and improvement in public service delivery.
Cloud innovation award
Recognises a European organisation that has achieved significant return on investment for an innovative cloud-based initiative, through cost savings, new business opportunities, revenue growth, better service delivery and/or overall efficiency and agility improvements. The winner may have created a private cloud, hybrid cloud strategy or relied on cloud computing as a means for transforming IT service delivery within the organisation.
