UK-based Route 1 Print has installed Friedheim International’s two Palamides Alpha 500plus mobile stacking machines.
The installation is part of Route 1 Print’s efforts to continue its investment program.
The firm intends to invest in the latest digital, offset, pre-press and finishing technologies, as well as its service to strengthen its business.
Route 1 Print director James Kinsella said: “Over the past year there has been a steady increase in the amount of folded work that requires a fast turnaround, and this concentration made us review our procedures to ensure that in addition to providing this capability we also continued to maintain the consistent high quality that we are renowned for.
“On reviewing what equipment was currently available, we very quickly decided that the Palamides was the perfect solution.
“Since installation that has proved to be the case, with the two machines producing quality stacked blocks with consistent heights which aids easier packing into boxes.”
Route 1 Print, a unit of Bluetree Design & Print Group, has moved to a new production hub in Rotherham, North Yorkshire in order to meet the growing demand.
Kinsella added: “We have the facilities and automated technology at Route 1 Print to turn jobs around in minimum timeframes, from brief to fulfilment, and can cater for both large format Digital and small format Litho/Digital production.
Friedheim International is engaged in supplying finishing equipment and solutions for commercial print, digital print, binding, converting and packaging applications in the UK and Ireland.
