UK-based thermoformed packaging specialist LVF has produced its 100-millionth punnet for Gomersal based cress and salad produce grower WS Bentley.
A punnet is a small container for packaging and selling fruit and vegetables, primarily small berries.
LVF has been working with WS Bentley for the past 20 years during which time, the former has manufactured an average of five-million units every year.
LVF managing director Nigel Coates said: "With WS Bentley, as with all of our customers, we aim to provide the very best level of service so that instead of worrying about keeping their work when the contract is complete or the project finished, we can look to grow it."
"In our industry, multi-million unit production is far from uncommon, but to maintain this level of output and such a good working relationship for so many years is an incredible achievement and one that speaks volumes for every member of the LVF team that has carried out work on behalf of WS Bentley during the last two decades."
WS Bentley currently uses the punnets supplied by LVF for supplying cress to two major retailers and handles all low volume output for a variety of other products, including its range of shoots, leaves and sprouting beans.
