Kl ckner Pentaplast has announced the extension of its PentaformSmartCycle film product line to include Pentaform SmartCycle PET films comprising 100% post-consumerrecycled (PCR) content.
According to the German packaging films producer, the new PentaformSmartCycle TH-ES100 films are made from 100% PCR from beverage bottles.
The films are ideal for face-seal, tray, and trapped blister thermoformed applications and have been designed to help customers meet their sustainability goals for visual packaging applications.
On standard thermoforming and form/fill/seal equipment, the PentaformSmartCycle films offer better clarity and processability.
SmartCycle films, which have been engineered for thermoform, food and box packaging applications, provide a plastic packaging option to consumer product companies and retailers.
Food-grade SmartCycle films comply with all FDA regulations for direct food contact, as well as all applicable EU regulations and directives for food contact and are certified to meet US domestic packaging regulations.
