German industrial packaging producer Mauser Group has announced the opening of Mauser Plastienvases International (MPI), an intermediate bulk containers (IBC) joint venture (JV) operation in Toluca, Mexico.
MPI, which is a JV between Mauser and Plastienvases of Mexico, will provide customers with IBC's with different valves and closure systems for the safe transport for applicable liquid products.
According to Mauser, the IBC's can transport 275 gallons (1000l) of industrial liquids and ingredients.
Mauser North America president and CEO Jeff Simmonds said IBC's as a packaging choice are growing everywhere globally.
"The decision to pursue that IBC growth in the Mexican market through a joint venture with Plastienvases was an easy one," Simmonds said.
