Audio may not be getting as much attention as other electronics categories, but there are a couple of intriguing trends on view at CES this year, in headphones and in wireless audio systems.
Consumer Reports audio expert Jim Willcox noted the proliferation of fashionable headphones—just as cool to wear as to hear. And in the tradition of Dr. Dre, many of the new headphones are endorsed by a wide range of celebrities, including Snooki and Lemmy from Motorhead.
Also on show were new systems that make it easy to get audio from your portable devices onto speakers wirelessly, through technologies like Bluetooth and NFC.
