LED packaging service provider Unity Opto Technology has upward adjusted target shipments of LED light bulbs for 2015 from 40 million to 50-60 million units, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
Unity Opto has received orders for 25 million LED light bulbs with shipments scheduled through May 2015, the paper said.
In line with hiking 2015 target shipments, Unity Opto is expanding its monthly production capacity for LED light bulbs from 4-5 million units currently to 6-7 million units in the second quarter of 2015, and further to 8 million units in the third, the paper indicated.
