The wait is over. After months of brainstorming, vetting and voting, the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) announced the winning name for its e-newsletter naming contest: IICRCToday.
"After the launch of our newly redesigned and updated newsletter, we wanted to brand it with a new name that reflected the new content and focus," said Darrell Paulson, Chairman of the Board, IICRC. "We were prepared for anything - witty, funny or to the point, but it turns out our readers like simple, and so do we."
The winning name was submitted by Jason Roberts who will receive a $100 Amazon gift card. Launched in March, the contest called for submissions that were then narrowed down to a list of the top eight finalists. The finalists were then voted on by the public through the end of July.
"As the Lead Technician and Estimator at Mohave Cleaning and Restoration in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., I am always looking forward to new technology updates and industry news, and the IICRC is the standard for reliable and accurate information," said Roberts. "I believe the choice of "IICRCToday" as the name for the newsletter reflects the urgency and accuracy of the organizations efforts to deliver the best information as it is available. Thank you for using my suggestion and I look forward to receiving the August edition."
The e-newsletter serves as a tool for the IICRC community to keep up-to-date with the latest news on the carpet and restoration industry, while also highlighting new educational tools and tips from the Institute. On a bi-monthly basis, the IICRC's e-newsletter is distributed to more than 13,000 recipients in the cleaning and restoration industries.
