Romaco Kilian and Theegarten-Pactec are collaborating to exhibit a high speed line for tableting and packing soup cubes at interpack 2017 event in Germany.
The line features a Romaco Kilian KTS 1000 tablet press and a Theegarten-Pactec FPC5 wrapping machine.
It is used in the food industry for the manufacture and packing soup cubes in flow wrap.
The KTS 1000 high speed press, which is suited for food and non-food applications, compresses about 3,000 cubes per minute. Mono-layer, bi-layer and triple-layer formats can be manufactured using the press.
The press can also be used to compress core-rod tablets or tablets for later core feeding.
Romaco said various fill shoe systems allow optimal filling of the dies. The dedicated tooling will enable to safely process highly viscous or abrasive powders that are difficult to compress.
The KTS 1000 also has the patented, wear-free punch brake magnets for constant re-dosing and the hydraulic overpressure protection.
The patented bellows protect the tablets from contamination with lubricants during compression to enhance the product quality.
The separation between the compaction and service areas avoids tablet dust from entering the machine compartment during the production process.
Users will also benefit from reduced costs and minimal effort for cleaning, replacing wearing parts and maintenance.
The KTS 1000 can be installed in non-air-conditioned production environments. It can be integrated into a packaging line at any time upon the customer’s request.
