Pharmaceutical packaging firm Mediseal is set to showcase its new P5000 high-speed cartoning machine at this year’s interpack and FCE Pharma events.
FCE Pharma event will take place from 23to 25 May in Sao Paulo of Brazil, while interpack event will take place from 4 to 10 May in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Available in wide range of formats, the new machine enables to pack up to 500 cartons per minute on one unit.
The new machine is said to compliment Mediseal's secondary packaging machines.
According to the company, the high-speed cartoning machine extends from flexible systems such as the White Line, where the blister, leaflet and box can be custom printed, to high-speed cartoners.
The machine’s product stack transport width adjustment and the carton height adjustment are automatic, which helps in a fast format change.
It allows operator to access all areas of the cartoner, and can be cleaned fastly when the product changes.
The module can be pivoted out of the machine completely for fast format changes and trouble-shooting.
The machine, along with the extensive format range, the machine has a maximum folding box size of 90 x 110 x 200 mm.
With 180 mm separation and available as a machine variant, the cartons with dimensions up to 150 x 110 x 200mm can be filled at speeds of up to 300 cartons per minute.
The cartoner is also suitable for the firm’s primary packaging in the upstream packaging process. It helps to transfer blisters directly to the cartnoer.
Mediseal sales and marketing manager Borja Guerra said: "In numerous discussions, we were hearing that our customers have a need for even faster cartoners.
"With the P5000 high-speed cartoner we now offer the right solution for our high-speed blister machines."
