UK-based Betty Crocker Betty introduced two new products,Red Velvet Cake Mix and Cream Cheese Icing,and a revised range of its cookie and cupcake mix container.
The new packaging idea will give the brand a retro look,with the pencil drawing of a 1920's housewife,similar to its positioning which has used American female celebrities as ambassadors,reported the Food&Drink Innovation Network.
The new packaging will also feature white polka dots on both the red and sky blue backgrounds along with a traditional hand-written font,reported Fdin.org.uk.
Betty Crocker marketing director Ed Culf remarked that the new look has been introduced to ensure that the products are being delivered with a rich appeal.
"The popularity of Betty Crocker and the investment we are putting behind the brand will aid retailers in generating incremental sales and help to grow the entire category,"added Culf.
