Amcor Australasia has signed an agreement to acquire packaging and industrial distributors in Far North Queensland, Joe’s Cartons business for an undisclosed value.
Joe's Cartons' distribution warehouses centers at Innisfail, Tully & Mareeba, together with the recently expanded WRS distribution centers, will provide a complete product and service offering to existing Amcor customers around Australia.
The acquisition represents another important step in Amcor Australasia's continued expansion into the sales distribution market.
According to Amcor, Joe's business will be backed by the company's global supplier base, optimal logistics and operational infrastructure.
Joe's Cartons managing director Joe Stacey said, "The benefits this sale brings to our customers are immense and means that customers will get a broader, more economical product range, while maintaining the level of personal service that they have come to expect from Joe's."
