US-based Closure Systems International (CSI) has introduced new lightweight closures, which include Extra-Lok V 38mm ODU and Asepti-Lok V 38mm LF to its non-carbonated beverage closure portfolio.
The new two-start closure Extra-Lok V 38mm ODU can be used in multiple filling applications, multiple bottle materials, and multiple wall thicknesses.
Extra-Lok V 38mm ODU is lighter than competitive two-piece or lined closures, and provides leak-proof secure sealing to hot, cold, aseptically-filled non-carbonated or non-pressurized beverages and liquid dairy products.
Asepti-Lok V 38mm LF is a lightweight, three-start, one-piece or linerless cap, which includes better venting properties, and offers anti-blow-off protection that ensures safety opening for consumers.
Asepti-Lok V 38mm 3S LF is a lubrication-free design, which is suitable for aseptic juices, nectars, sport drinks, and ready-to-drink tea packaging.
The new CSI closures will be showcased at Drinktec 2013 in Munich, Germany, which will be held between 16 September to 20 September 2013.
