The fourth quarter of last year heralded a slowdown in the amount of OSB that the US exported to most overseas markets after significant growth in the first half and first nine months of the year. The full-year growth rate was thus less dramatic than it had been at earlier times in the year. While the first half ended with a 33% improvement and the first nine months with a 30% upswing, OSB exports from the US climbed a total of 19% to 271, 440 m³ in 2011 as a whole, the Foreign Agriculture Service reports. The value of these exports rose 10% during the same period to reach US$78.5m. Source: euwid-wood-products.com
